Country Getaways Holiday Rentals has now been inducted into the Yorke Peninsula Hall of Fame at the recent YP Tourism Awards.

Helly Easter Smith, CEO of Country Getaways Holiday Rentals, recently took the time to answer some questions for us:

What does your business do?

We rent out @ 180 self contained accommodation properties (eg shacks, beach houses, B&B’s) throughout the whole of Yorke Peninsula on behalf of homeowners.

Our comprehensive website covers all details of the individual properties and you can BOOK NOW in your own time.

Why did you set up business on the Peninsula?

After an absence of 17 years, Helly Easther-Smith returned to Yorke Peninsula and saw the need for a holiday rental business covering the whole of the Peninsula. Real Estate Agents were only

doing their immediate area, however she saw a need to provide a one stop shop for accommodation for the whole area.

What do you like about running a business on the Peninsula?

I get out and about quite a bit, sweeping the Peninsula weekly.

I get to meet some interesting people and visit many properties.

What is the main thing that you struggle with in business on the Peninsula? How have you or do you overcome this?

Meeting like minded people has been an issue.  That is why the YP Biz Network has been good for me personally and my business – the sharing of  information is valuable to any business.

In some towns, we struggle to find staff with an eye for detail who are reliable.  It can be a very rewarding and flexible job.  Facebook has been good to find staff

Do  you have a business special for this week?

Pay for 2 nights, get the third night free on selected properties

We offer all local customers and members a complimentary booking fee too.
