Myriad Occupational Safety Training delivers nationally recognised training in partnership with, and under the auspices of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.

What does your business do? 

Myriad Training is YP’s One Stop Safety shop offering First Aid Kits, Restocks for First Aid Kits, Defibrillators & First Aid Training as well as First Aid Event Services. Fire Extinguishers and Training. Safety Equipment and Work Clothing and boots. We also now offer White Card Training and external Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety.

Why did you set up a business on the Peninsula? 

As a Volunteer Ambulance officer I was passionate about the quality of First Aid Training people should receive so I wanted to offer something locally. I also have an extensive background in Safety and it shouldn’t be made hard for small business to achieve a good safety standard.

What do you like about running a business on the Peninsula? 

Saving people from having to go to Adelaide to do all their training especially small business.

What is the main thing that you struggle with in business on the Peninsula? How have you or do you overcome this? 

Trying to be competitive to the businesses that come up from Adelaide to do training or sell safety gear out the back of their truck.  Try to bend over backwards to look after my customers.

What does your business do? 

Barley Stacks Wines is an award-winning vineyard situated on the Yorke Peninsula. Located  13kms south of Maitland we produce high quality wines which are are distributed both locally and interstate.

Why did you set up a business on the Peninsula? 

We bought the existing business in December of 2008. We bought the business to diversify the already existing farming business and provide a unique product produced on the Yorke Peninsula.

What do you like about running a business on the Peninsula? 

We like the fact that we are able to combine a tourism factor with our business and products and produce something that is unique for the Peninsula.

What is the main thing that you struggle with in business on the Peninsula? How have you or do you overcome this? 

We struggle with brand recognition on the Peninsula. To overcome this we are developing more of a social media presence and re-branding our promotional material to focus on the Peninsula.

Our Feature business: Tuckfields Conveyancing

What does your business do? 

We are a team of Registered Conveyancers, experienced in residential and commercial transactions as well as land divisions and community title applications.

Why did you set up a business on the Peninsula? 

For several years, Tammy Edwards and Miriam Errington have been delivering mobile conveyancing services to the Copper Coast and Yorke Peninsula regions. However, due to the strong relationships they have developed and an expanding client base, they knew that sourcing a office premises was their next logical move.

What do you like about running a business on the Peninsula? 

Both coming from a rural upbringing, Tammy and Miriam love the tight knit community spirit of the Peninsula towns. They bring their specialist knowledge to the regions and love to be able to take the stress out of transacting property by providing great customer service.

What is the main thing that you struggle with in business on the Peninsula? How have you or do you overcome this? 

Although we haven’t been operating on the Peninsula for long, we are dedicating a lot of time into spreading the word that we are up and running in Kadina through lots of innovative advertising!
